Night Life

General

The Maltese Islands are generally regarded as a beach destination with unrivalled historical monuments thrown in for good measure.  But the islands also offer a colourful nightlife.

Admittedly they do not have the variety on offer at larger destinations.  For instance, there are very few nightclubs with cabaret acts and the theatre season does not stretch to include the summer months, although open-air music festivals are held between June and September.

Nevertheless, the 'standards' are all here - discotheques, restaurants, casinos, cinemas, wine and jazz bars, theme evenings, sunset cruises and culture galore in the shoulder months.
