Golf

The Royal Golf Club is located within the grounds of the Marsa Sports and Country Club.  The golf club was founded in 1888 and golf was first played in the ditches formed by the fortification walls of Valletta.  The Club moved to it's present site in the early 1900's.  The course has undergone numerous changes since the most significant of which was the grassing of the fairways in 1989.
Today at par 68, it is a good test of golf without being too unkind for the novice.  Facilities include changing rooms, bar, pro shop, driving range, and equipment hire.

Malta's temperature climate and its location - only 2 hours from central Europe - make the Royal Malta Golf Club an ideal venue for off-season golfing break both for individuals and groups, but reservations are essential.

Visitors are made welcome at Royal Malta and overseas membership is also available.  The club also offers tuition by qualified PGA professionals.
