The Hotel Calypso commands a superb seafront position in the fishing village of Marsalforn in Gozo. The 100 guest rooms and suites, all with balcony and bathroom, are equipped with radio, telephone, heating and a ceiling fan. Lifts are available to all floors. For swimming and sunbathing one can either go to the beach, which is just outside the hotel, or use the small hotel swimming pool which also has a children’s section.

 The hotel’s restaurant and bars are all overlooking the bay, and for lovers of exotic cuisine one should try the Dragon Chinese restaurant. For relaxation one recommends the rooftop sun terrace, while the hotel has a sports complex incorporating two red clay tennis courts and two squash courts, as well as a diving center.

Gozo is an excellent choice for a quieter, more relaxed holiday. The Gozitans are cheerful and friendly and you will soon find yourself adapting to their easygoing lifestyle. In the capital Victoria you can explore a splendid Norman citadel and shop for locally made lace and other bargains in the narrow streets of this town.

Unwind in a simple and unspoilt island and recapture the flavour of the Mediterranean style of yesteryear. Gozo is reached from Malta by a short ferry crossing of 20 minutes, or a helicopter trip of 10 minutes.
